Ashley E
Ashley’s journey into movement started in the Yukon Territory, dancing and playing soccer under wide northern skies. After sixteen years in corporate communications, crafting stories for government, retail, and animation, she felt the pull to return to the body.
In 2018, she trained in Barre Basics with The Dailey Method in California. Since then, she has certified in Hot Pilates and with Modo Yoga and is currently completing her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. She is also a certified hypnotherapist, blending visualization, neuroscience, and breath in her approach to teaching.
Ashley’s classes are energizing, challenging, and grounded in mindfulness. She cares deeply about her playlists, and she believes movement is more than exercise. It is a way to build resilience, presence, and confidence from the inside out.
When she’s not teaching, Ashley is a writer, actor, and filmmaker. She writes the Substack newsletter Wannabe Wisdom: Diaries of a Fake Guru, an inquisitive exploration of the creative process, confidence, courage, voice, and the blocks we encounter along the way.
She lives with her husband and their silver lab, Thor, who runs the house. She is thrilled to join the Refine team.
